Overall objective of the project: To contribute to the development of strong and sustainable civil society organisations capable of successfully mobilising the local resources and their inclusion in a dialogue with the private sector.

Specific objectives:  

• To lay the foundations for long-term framework supporting of philanthropy and mobilization of local resources based on research and analysis;
• Support to the local stakeholders in the creation and use of supportive legal environment for tax relief when donating;
• Enhancing the capacity of the civil society organisations for finding and mobilising local resources and establishing a long term and sustainable cooperation with the private sector;
• Promotion of the best practices and initiation of debate on the importance of the philanthropy and mobilisation of local resources in the building of strong communities.

Results and Deliverables:  

• Laid foundations for favourable framework supportive of philanthropy (research, cost benefit analysis, comments to the Law on Donations and Sponsorships in Public Activities, 4 publications);
• Support to the stakeholders in the creation and use of supportive legal environment for tax relief when donating (manual for the Law on Donations and Sponsorships in Public Activities, tax calculator, support to the institutions, internet service for support: donirajpametno.mk);
• Enhanced capacities of the civil society organisations for mobilising local resources and cooperation with the businesses (over 100 CSO representatives trained, 8 video tutorials, 66 answered questions);
• Promotion of best practices and initiation of debate on the importance of the philanthropy (Conference with 85 participants, 10.500 leaflets, 35 media releases).
